The Warnings of Pastors and Prophets About The Eclipse

So, what’s really going on Monday, April 8? I’m sure by now you’ve seen every report possible detailing the science-y details of the total solar eclipse, the first we’ve seen since August 2017, according to NASA.

However, a handful of pastors and prophets say it’s more than just a celestial marvel…

They say it’s God sending the U.S. a warning.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years,” (Genesis 1:14 KJV)

The Last Total Eclipse…

A few church leaders have been giving prophetic warnings for the past weeks about what the events of April 8th signify. The consensus is that the eclipse is directly related to the one from August 2017. That total solar eclipse’s path covered the United States from the northwest to the southeast, according to NASA’s map.

However, what these leaders noted is the path distinctly covered seven cities named Salem which translates to “peace” or “Covenant” in Hebrew. Salem is the original name of the Israel capital, Jerusalem, which was given its name by King David back in 1000 B.C.E, per Britannica.

Also in 2017 is when former President Donald Trump made the controversial and widely contested order to relocate the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The decision resulted in widely drawn criticism from nearly every nation part of the United Nations and leaders from various European and Arab countries, per The New York Times. However, Dr. Sharon Nesbitt of Dominion World Outreach Ministries said the significance goes beyond diplomacy.

“It was God saying that the United States needed to make covenant with Jerusalem to stay in peace,” she said in a sermon last month. “God has given us seven years [since then] to repent. The pandemic put a pause on the church because God said, ‘I need the church to repent.’ But the pandemic didn’t cause us to repent. We just got scared and started living any kind of way… why? Because we didn’t take into the account the first sign.”

Now, Dr. Nesbitt along with other Christian leaders say this second eclipse is God’s second sign – a warning – to repent before we get any closer to Judgement Day.

“And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign,” (Exodus 4:8 KJV)

Now, here’s where it get’s even more interesting. NASA’s map of the April 8th eclipse shows its path crossing the U.S. from the opposite direction of the last. This one’s path is projected to cross the States from the south of Texas to the Northeast covering another seven cities with the same name: Ninevah. Sound familiar? Let me help. Ninevah is the city in the Bible where the prophet Jonah was ordered by God to visit and prophecy to the people to turn from their wicked ways or meet God’s wrath.

Well, we all know how that story ended. Jonah disobeyed God by abandoning his assignment and got ~swallowed up~ by a great fish or what we assume was a whale.

No, we’re not going to get plopped into the ocean and stuck in the belly of a Humpback. However, leaders warn the body of Christ may experience our own, personal raptures of God’s judgement for falling out of the order of His laws and commandments just as the Israelites did in the Old Testament. In other words, He not playing with us no more.

“This is not the season to straddle the fence. This is not the season to sneak and try to get away with anything. You got to be all the way in,” said Dr. Nesbitt. “If the Unites States doesn’t repent, we can’t avert the things that are coming. This is a national thing.”

The signs are quite evident to leaders like Dr. Nesbitt or Pastor Jim Staley from Passion For Truth Ministries. Staley explained the maps of the previous total eclipse overlapped with the one April 8th and the angular eclipse from October 2023 form the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet: Aleph and Tav.

“When you put the Tav and Aleph together, it means the ‘leader of the covenant’ or ‘the strength of the mark.’ With Yeshua being called the Alpha and Omega, the Aleph and Tav, God is literally signing His son’s name across the entire United States, letting us know the leader of the covenant is coming. He is the King of Salem, Jerusalem and He’s warning America that our light will go dark if we do not turn from our wicked ways,” said Staley.

What Can We Do?

You may think this is all too deep or some crazy conspiracy. You’re all entitled to your own opinions but leaders point all of their prophetic warnings back to the book.

In Luke 21:25, Jesus says, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

The eclipse… wars… boat crashes… you can’t say He ain’t warn us ahead of time. Yet, God doesn’t send warning without strategy.

Leaders say don’t panic but pray. Dr. Nesbitt urged her congregation to pray against earthquakes and shipwrecks in a sermon back on March 30. Additionally, leaders have encouraged the body of Christ and anyone on the fence to repent and ask God for forgiveness as well as to have mercy on our nation to mitigate the impact of the next sign of judgement to come.

The world may not be ending on April 8th but one thing is for certain to believers: we’re reaching the end of the book.

Hang tight. We’ll get into all of that later…
