LOVE Island’s Molly Smith was rushed to hospital with a mystery illness just days before jetting to Dubai.

The 29-year-old sparked concern from fans after going “missing” for almost five days on social media.

Now The Sun can reveal she suffered a health scare in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Molly admitted “I’ve been a bit of a write off” shortly before jumping on £15k first class flights to Dubai with her boyfriend Tom.

A source told The Sun: “It was a worrying night for Molly. She was taken into hospital in the middle of the night, but thankfully it was just a scare.

“She’s now doing much better. Her trip with Tom couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s been a busy few weeks and she’s excited to relax and recuperate ready to come back fighting fit.”

The Sun has reached out to Molly for comment.

She told fans: “Sorry for being MIA. I ended up in hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning so I’ve been a bit of a write off.

“Finally had a little TLC and got my hair done so starting to feel a litle more like me again.

“I will catch up with properly with you all soon.”

In a Q&A with fans on Instagram, Molly said: “I’m getting there… slowly. Thank you for asking.

“This holiday couldn’t have come at a better time.

“Relaxation and some sun is very much needed.”

Molly and Tom won Love Island‘s first All Stars series in February.

The couple fell for each other in the South Africa villa – despite fans believing she would get back with her Love Island ex Callum Jones.

However, she’s firmly moved from the relationship with Tom – recently archived or deleted all her Instagram posts with Callum.

She has been focusing on work since leaving the villa – having been named as Boohoo latest ambassador after securing a six figure deal with the online brand.

Molly has also followed in the footsteps of Olivia Attwood and Gemma Owen by working with Abbot Lyon.
