The bookies have now given their tips on who will be next to bag the lead role in Death In Paradise, and take over from Ralf, 44.

Betting shop Coral are tipping actress Diane Morgan as their favourite to be the next detective with odds of 1-2.

Miranda Hart is next best in the betting at 2-1, Martin Clunes can be backed at 7-2, while Rupert Grint is 5-1.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Mandy star Diane Morgan tops our betting to replace Ralf Little on Death In Paradise. We think the show may go for a new look on the next series, with the comedian the most likely to land the lead detective role,” said Coral’s John Hill.
