People relax alongside Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the three waterfalls that collectively form Niagara Falls, as they prepare for the total solar eclipse, which is expected to pass over the region on Monday. This year’s path of totality is 115 miles wide and home to nearly 32 million Americans, with an additional 150 million living less than 200 miles from the strip. The next such solar eclipse visible from a large part of North America is not expected until 2044
