STEAM regularly offers deep discounts on great titles, but there’s nothing better than getting to play a game for free.
Right now the PC storefront is hosting a free deal for a very recent next-gen survival game.
ARK: Survival Ascended is getting a free weekend on Steam, and players can already jump into the game.
Survival Ascended is the remake of the beloved dinosaur survival title ARK: Survival Evolved, rebuilt from the ground up using the latest gaming tech.
Survival Evolved is considered one of the best survival games, as it offers a unique setting filled with dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.
Ascended takes the 2017 game and rebuilds it using Unreal Engine 5, to provide improved visuals, creature models, and environments.

ARK: Survival Ascended launched in early access on PC in October 2023 and received mixed reviews, with fans complaining about bugs and performance issues.
The free weekend right now gives more players the chance to try out the game and see if its early problems have been fixed.
A brand-new desert-themed expansion map called Scorched Earth will also be available to try during the free period, while players who already own the game are getting it for free.
Steam players can play Survival Ascended for as long as they want until 6pm UK Time / 10am PT on Monday, April 8, 2024.
