We though Easter eggs were meant for chocolate, candy, coins or just any other small things that a kid would enjoy. Well, allegedly, one Alabama man tried to be slick and piggyback off the holiday to sneak something else inside two Easter eggs: nearly 200 fentanyl pills.

The Colbert County Sheriff’s Department said that on the morning of April 1, agents with the drug task force conducted a traffic stop on South Hook Street in Tuscumbia, Al. The cops say the driver, 29-year-old Jamarious Dequan Qualls, gave consent for the officers to search his vehicle. However, during the search, the officers found a plastic bag with an ounce of “spice” synthetic cannabis but also… a random orange and gold Easter egg. Hmmm.

Read more from PEOPLE:

Qualls, of nearby Franklin County, is charged with the trafficking of illegal drugs and unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, per his online booking information.

He was booked into Colbert County Jail Monday afternoon and held on a $150,000 bond.

The Colbert County Circuit Court clerk’s office confirmed the fentanyl-trafficking related charges but said that no court date had yet been entered into their system as of Wednesday afternoon, April 3.

Remember people used to sneak blades in Halloween candy and now this?!

The clerk’s office tells PEOPLE that Qualls has another unrelated drug case from 2023 that is still pending. In that case, he was placed in a pretrial diversion program for two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Outstanding court costs were the reason for why the case wasn’t dismissed.

Now, he’s got a whole other headache to worry about.
