Send the Hosts of ‘Serial’ Season 4 Your Questions About the Podcast

If you’ve listened to “Serial” before, you know that we’re interested in criminal justice stories. Our new season, which kicks off this week, is about Guantánamo — a justice system unlike any other. Guantánamo is the prison and court that the U.S. built after 9/11 to hold people suspected of being members of Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

We tried to figure out how to do a story about Guantánamo for almost a decade. We had so many questions: What was it really like on the ground for the thousands of people who had passed through? Why did the military personnel make the decisions they did? What were prisoners’ strategies for surviving there? What was everyone thinking at the time? What are they thinking now?

For the next several weeks, we’ll be releasing a new episode every Thursday. If you have a question while listening to the show, you can send it to us using the form below. We’ll try to answer it in our newsletter (which you can sign up for here).

Use the form below to submit your questions. Please note that anything submitted may be published in the newsletter and condensed or edited for clarity. We will read every submission and reach out to some respondents to learn more. We will not share your contact information outside the Times newsroom, and will not publish any part of your submission without following up with and hearing back from you first.
