A Mobile, Alabama woman was arrested after a raid uncovered hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs and guns in her home and car – including a quantity of cocaine in her three-year-old’s backpack. And now the County Sheriff is calling the mother out on the “reckless” behavior that put her children in danger.

As Fox 10 in Mobile reported, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office responded to a tip from “a reliable confidential source” that 35-year-old Tierra Tocorra Hill was keeping a substantial amount of drugs in her home. When police spotted Hill leaving her home, they conducted a traffic stop, which allegedly uncovered approximately 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and a handgun inside her car.

Authorities then expanded their search to Hill’s home, where they allegedly found four unsupervised children between the ages of three and 15, along with handguns and illegal drugs with an estimated street value of $450,000.

Hill was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and four counts of chemical endangerment of a child.

In a statement, Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch expressed disappointment in Hill and what he called a “reckless” situation.

“There was a total disregard for the law and the children’s well-being,” said Burch. “It’s just alarming that a mother would allow their children to be exposed to these types of things. She has to see a judge before bond is set but my two cents is she ought to sit her butt in jail until she goes to trial. She subjected those children to extremely dangerous situations.”
