If you grew up in Britain, chances are you will have watched Coronation Street at some point. For many, the world’s longest running soap evokes memories of sitting around the telly with grandparents, but for others it’s a life-long commitment.
Over 64 years, it is inevitable that Corrie has evolved from the kitchen sink drama depicting the lives of working class folk in the north-west that its creator Tony Warren devised. But in recent years, the show’s fans have become disillusioned with an over-reliance on issues-based plots, a growing cast and block storytelling patterns.
We want to know; what is your relationship with the cobbles? Have you watched it your entire life? Maybe you have given up on Corrie and, if so, we want to know why. As the show enters a new era with the appointment of Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks, how would you improve the show’s output?
Almost everyone has memories of Coronation Street’s classic storylines, such as the Ken-Deirdre-Mike love triangle or Richard Hillman’s killing spree, and we want to hear about yours.
