The Bakerloo, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines have also been hit by severe delays for the return to work on Tuesday after the Easter weekend.

The delays on the Bakerloo Line were due to the late finish of engineering work. There is also a part closure of the northern Line until April 11 between Golders Green and Edgware due to planned engineering works.

Meanwhile the M25 J6 clockwise exit slip road to Godstone is closed due to a collision.

Lanes one and two on the main carriageway are also closed on approach to allow emergency services to work at the scene, National Highways south East said.There are delays of at least 50 minutes on approach with nine mile congestion, it said.

While Inrix reported long delays and one lane closed due to a crash on the M25 anticlockwise after J25 A10 (Enfield) with congestion to J26 Waltham Abbey.

Severe delays are being reported on the Piccadilly Line due to a signal fault at Stamford Brook. Tickets will be accepted on London Buses and Elizabeth line, says Transport for London.
