Footie legend Diego Maradona, opera singer, Luciano Pavarotti and F1 drivers, Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost all owned models.

“Falling approximately in the middle of F40 production, chassis number 86420 was built as one of 213 F40s designated for the US market, being completed by the factory in September of 1990.

“It was delivered to its first owner in Florida in December of that same year, according to Ferrari historian Marcel Massini.

“Having spent all of its life in the US, it was acquired by the current owner nearly twenty years ago from California and has lived with him in Texas ever since.”

The incredible motor is being sold in Los Angeles, California, US.
