‘Soul of Azores’ is starting! — Presenting our project

‘Soul of Azores’

Initial ideas!

Hi everyone! We are really glad to be here presenting to you our ideas and what you can expect from our game, Soul of Azores!

To give some context to our game, you will play as an diver and explorer that was sent to the Azores islands to find, research and photograph the newly discovered dark corals in the mid-oceanic ridge, and during your adventure you start gathering new informations regarding the sealife under the warm sea.

It will take place initially in São Miguel, one of the islands in Azores and it will more specifically be in-between the island land and Vila Franca’s islet, you will have some puzzles to get through as you enter the sea and will try to not get hurt by small enemies and environmental obstacles.

What to expect!

We want to give you a fun and educational experience at the same time, it will have some challenges such as puzzles, obstacles and an enemy, and will have somewhere where you can learn more about the species of the wildlife you are taking pictures of. We are currently trying to work on the mechanics and putting together some of the sketches for our project!

So you guys can have an idea of what’s comming, we a fairly early sketch, our artist did, in hopes to demonstrate the vibe we are going for, and some of the moodboards we used to put together our idea:
