A FREQUENT traveler said she always finds herself forgetting to pack one thing: makeup remover.
While many of us have been there before, often scrubbing off our mascara with face wash, she said there’s a simple solution that does wonders for the skin.
Beauty aficionado Lauryn Bosstick (@laurynbosstick) revealed her favorite “hotel hack” for when she’s in a pinch.
“There’s just a weird thing I do in hotels all the time,” she began in the clip.
Because she often forgets her makeup cleanser, she came up with a useful, non-damaging way to remove it from her face.
“I will call room service and order olive oil.”
Although it seems like a strange request, she said it’s good for more than just food.
“The olive oil will take your makeup off like buttery, slippery, silky dolphin skin.
“It’s such a good tip, and it’s also really good for your skin.”
While she doesn’t solely use olive oil to cleanse her face, she admitted that it does feel good every now and then.

“I love washing my face with olive oil.”
She then used the hotel phone to reach the front desk and request “a side” of olive oil, showing her followers how it’s done and saying, “That’s the move.”
Viewers thanked her for the hack, with others sharing their own methods.
“Wow, great idea,” one wrote, with another echoing, “Genius.”
A third backed her claim: “I use olive oil only to wash my face! No other face wash. For years now, and my skin is better for it.”
And a fourth offered their own advice: “I use coconut oil as my eye makeup remover and it helps my lashes/brows grow, and helps under eye bags.”
