As the wife of a future king, her role as a senior royal within the Firm is incredibly important.
As a result, it comes as no surprise that she has a firm grasp on what is expected of her.
According to the Bohemian Rhapsody actor, the Princess of Wales employs a clever tactic when she meets people at engagements to keep the conversation from straying off on a tangent.
As revealed by Rami Malek, Kate has to be “so careful” when she speaks in public, before revealing that he hilariously offered his babysitting services to the royal couple.

Whilst the actor met the couple at the Royal Albert Hall for the London premiere of the James Bondfilm ‘No Time to Die’, this wasn’t the first time the pair had met – as they had previously chatted at the BAFTAs in 2019.
During an appearance on the American talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Malek revealed the details about his informal conversation with the Princess.
He told Jimmy Kimmel: “I just looked at Princess Kate at one point and I said, ‘This must be exhausting.’ And she said, ‘Why?’ [I replied] ‘You just had a baby, right?’ I think she was taken aback.”
At the time of the meeting, the Princess had recently welcomed Prince Louis but it would seem that the subject of babies appeared off-limits for the glamorous mum-of-three.

Rami recalled that Kate quickly deflected the question and instead chose to focus on him by asking how he is.
He continued: “[I’m like] “No, how are you?’ And in the most regal, elegant way, she gave me a look. But you can tell. Imagine, you’re dressed to the nines, have to talk to all these actors.
“They’re so careful. But it was so cool. I think I caught her off guard for a second and [she] had that look of, in the most elegant, professional, royal way, ‘Yes, it’s a lot having a kid.’”
The star went on to reveal that he did in fact offer his babysitting services to the Prince and Princess.
He continued: “The funniest thing about that is, I said, ‘You know, if you ever need time off, I’m back up for you.’ She’s like, ‘What do you mean?’ I said, ‘You guys go out, have a good time.’”
But despite Kate’s subtle trick, her shift into royal life was no easy feat and came with a series of lessons and instructions to make the transition as smooth as possible.
According to the documentary ‘Kate Middleton: Working Class to Windsor’, Kate had private lessons that focused on ‘how to be a royal wife’ – some guidance of which supposedly came from the late Queen herself.
Journalist Ashley Pearson said in the documentary: “From the beginning, Kate had a great deal of support from the Royal Family which was really instructed by the Queen.
“This was to make sure she knew as much as she could possibly know and what to do in every situation – bearing in mind, of course, that she didn’t grow up in this world.”
As for what Kate’s so-called ‘princess lessons’ involved, Ashley explained that the most important element of the teaching was about preserving her ‘modesty’.
She added: “There were things like learning how to get out of a carriage without exposing your modesty and learning how to bend down to get flowers from a young girl without exposing your modesty.
“Things that you would never think you’d have to learn but, of course, a woman in her position would certainly need to know.
“There were all kinds of small details and little bits of etiquette – how to sit, who to curtsy to, who not to curtsy to, what fork to use and whatever else they felt she needed to know.
