COPS have cordoned off popular tourist spot St James Park after a “suspicious item” was discovered.
Police were called to the scene on Horseguard Road, London, just after 9.20am today.

The area has been cordoned off to the public while specialists remain at the scene examining the item.
A spokesperson for Westminster Police said: “Police were called at 9:21am to reports of a potentially suspicious item found at St James Park, Horseguard Road.
“Safety cordons and closures have been established while specialist officers examine the item.
“Officers remain on scene. We thank the public for their patience.”
