Transfer news LIVE: Barcelona keen on ‘doing everything’ to get Lionel Messi, Neymar’s PSG TWIST, Jude Bellingham latest

Good morning footy fans

Liverpool look set to beat Manchester United and Arsenal to Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister.

That is according to The Mirror, who report talks between the Reds and the Seagulls are a “long way down the line.”

Mac Allister himself is eager to perform in front of the Anfield crowd next season.

And the Merseysiders will strengthen their hand even further should they secure Champions League qualification.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is ready to leave the club in the summer.

According to Le Parisien, the forward wants to call time on his career in France after he was targeted by PSG Ultras who turned up at his home and chanted insults at the world’s most expensive player.

That has put United and Chelsea on red alert as they both hold an interest in the Brazil international.

The reigning French champions are said to be open to the idea of selling the ex-Barcelona star.

And Barca president Joan Laporta has promised to “do everything” to bring PSG superstar Lionel Messi back to the club.

Laporta told Jijantes: “We will do everything we can to bring Leo Messi back to Barcelona.”

Blaugrana vice-president Rafa Yuste also added to Carrusel: “Messi? He’s a very good friend of many guys who are celebrating La Liga today… I’m sure he is so happy! I would love Messi to come back.”

Laporta has also now revealed to RAC1 he has already been in contact with the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Finally, Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham has turned down a move to Manchester City as he appears set to join Real Madrid.

Liverpool pulled out of the race to sign Bellingham due to his astronomical release clause, which has been set at a reported €150million (£131m).

City have also showed interest but the midfielder doesn’t appear keen on a move to the Etihad.

That is according to German reporter Patrick Berger, who claims the 19-year-old and his family view Pep Guardiola’s side as a “plastic” club.

The England international holds the same view regarding other Gulf-backed clubs, such as PSG.

Bellingham is also not keen on Chelsea due to their “crazy transfer strategy” after owner Todd Boehly splashed over half a billion pounds on his debut season.
