SCHOOLS across the UK are closed again today due to heavy snow and freezing temperatures.
Thousands of pupils will miss class while Met Office yellow and amber weather warnings are in force.
The alerts, which urge anyone travelling today to take extra care due to snow and ice, cover almost every inch of the UK on Thursday.
Three further warnings for the same wintry conditions carry over into Friday for central England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Those with children should check with individual schools or their local council website to confirm any closures.
But these are the known shutdowns so far.
South West

A spokesperson for the council said: “The council’s recommendation is that all schools in the county should close tomorrow and switch to online learning.”
