This Formula 1-Inspired Suitcase Revs My Engine (If You Know What I Mean)

If you’re wondering what the sexiest “sport” on the planet is, it’s probably Formula 1. If you’re wondering what the world’s sexiest suitcase looks like, it’s Carl Friedrik’s latest version of its “Carry-On” suitcase, inspired by Italian Formula 1 team Scuderia Alpha Tauri.

Just like all things Italian, the new Formula 1-inspired suitcase is sleek, understated, and likes to go fast. While we don’t recommend riding it through the airport while making race car sounds with your mouth (one way to get yourself on the no-fly list), it will absolutely expedite your travels, considering it’s been “painstakingly designed with the hectic F1 travel schedule in mind.”

Yes, we will be pretending to be Mario Andretti as we main-character-glide through Port Authority on our way to our mother’s house, chic navy racecar carry-on in tow. Tumi, who? We don’t know her. Get a suitcase that’s built like… well, a beautifully designed racecar, including a sensuous aluminum frame, handmade Italian leather detailing, and silent spinner wheels made by Japanese brand Hinomoto, better known as the “gold standard in wheel manufacturing.”

In our humble opinion, navy (not black) is the epitome of cool, and the fact that it’s inspired by Scuderia AlphaTauri’s signature team colors, with subtle white details, makes it that much cooler. This Carry-On model is made for speed—especially in terms of packing and stowing. It’s compliant with most of the world’s cabin-size restrictions so you don’t have to slam your entire body against the overhead bin, praying they won’t make you gate-check your bag.

Do we want to have sex with this luggage? Absolutely Who’s asking?
