Post Politics Now: Warnock, Walker in close race with half of votes counted in Georgia runoff

Former president Donald Trump endorsed nearly 500 candidates this year, including 24 Senate candidates in the general election.

Of those, 17 won the election, the majority in safely Republican states. But in battleground states, Trump’s candidates faltered — specifically, Pennsylvania’s Mehmet Oz, Arizona’s Blake Masters and New Hampshire’s Don Bolduc.

And in Alaska’s Senate race, Trump’s chosen candidate, Kelly Tshibaka, fell to incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R) in the state’s ranked-choice election. Murkowski had long been a target of Trump’s, who resented her for voting to remove him from office.
