Raising money for Sue Ryder, Betty a 93-year-old grandmother, took to the skies on 4 August on the wings of a biplane, and performed a full loop – completing a new Guinness world record. In the last 12 months, Betty had a pacemaker fitted and has arthritis in her neck so was unsure as to whether she could still soar through the skies, but she proved to everyone she still could
