BOXING was set for a golden year in 2020 – until the killer coronavirus pandemic.

But promoters have said the massive cards over the next few months – including Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whye vs Alexander Povetkin and Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 – will still be happening at later dated this year.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has conceded that boxing will not be back until June at the earliest, meaning his May fights including Whyte vs Povetkin and Derek Chisora vs Oleksandr Usyk have been pushed.

Hearn said: “I’m hoping that we can see boxing back in June and I believe, I’m confident we’ll see it back in July”.
